The hotel is ideally located just next to San Marco Square. I was quite pleasently surprised by the size of the room (we had a double superior room) and of bathroom, considering the location. Quite clean, good value for money, in my opinion.
The entrance is rather shady, the tiny reception is located on the first floor. There is no breakfast room so the breakfast (very small selection, by the way) is served in the room which lacked a proper eating table. However, these aspects were not that important for us.

How to describe this experience.. Very difficult to qualify. It could have been great, but no! The room is very big, nice, well equipped, very clean, with many plugs, with frigobar, very good air conditioning, good TV, decoration and furniture very in tune with Venice, etc. Very good breakfast served in the room, etc. As far as I can tell, it looks perfect.
We arrived at the hotel and in a minimal reception on the first floor, we were attended to by a very bad man. gentleman was sweating, shouting, throwing things, etc. Since we had arrived early and rooms were not ready, we asked him if we could leave our bags at the hotel so that we could go for a walk around Venice. He reluctantly accepted. We went for a walk and came back at the agreed time to enter the rooms (2pm). Our room was not ready. We waited 20 minutes until we were given it. It turned out to be in another building! Our children are now teenagers so it was not a problem, if they had been younger, I would not have been at ease. man took us to the room, for which we had to climb a couple of stairs and never offered to help us (especially my wife who was carrying a 20kg suitcase up the stairs). On the day of the checkout, due to time constraints, we also had to leave our bags at the hotel. time the gentleman accepted in a better way. We agreed that we would pick up our luggage at 18hs. approx. we arrived, we found our bags in the corridor (outside the reception), is a place where anyone can access. In Reception there was no one there. There were people waiting for this person to arrive so they could check in and go for a walk but the gentleman was not there. All the guests I passed were very angry. I would think that the gentleman in question is the owner of the hotel. My humble advice is to hire someone who knows how to take care of the guests. As for the location of the hotel, I have my doubts. It is right next to Piazza San Marco, I am not entirely sure whether this is an advantage or a disadvantage because of the complications of moving suitcases through the streets of Venice and cost of the steamer. If I were to go to Venice again, I think I would stay in a hotel relatively close to the train station.

During my recent stay at a hotel in a great location, I was pleasantly surprised by the unique setup and the attention to detail in the room. The antique shutters added charm to the decor, and the room itself was spacious and ornately decorated. I felt safe and secure throughout my stay, and the off-season prices made it more affordable.
Although the hotel didn't have a traditional reception area, the satellite staff from a sister hotel were prompt and efficient in providing cleaning services and delivering breakfast right to my room. It was a delightful experience to have breakfast served on a silver tray with linen napkins, and the staff ensured that it arrived at the time I specified.
